Piano Arrangements
Ideal Supplementary Teaching Material
I retired from teaching during the covid pandemic in 2022. I had a full studio with 35 students but the country was experiencing lockdowns and disruption and for some of the time teaching was not allowed. The time seemed right for me to hang up the knitting needle I used as a pointer. I was 87 years old so probably due to retire anyway.
I had always enjoyed teaching and retiring left a gap in my life. Eventually, in 2025, I began creating piano arrangements of popular music. (I don't like arrangements or easy versions of the classics.)
Moon River is an example arrangement.
All my arrangements can be viewed at Sheet Music Direct where you can also make a purchase. Most are about US$5.90
Always when I am working on an arrangement I am thinking 'piano student' and I think my arrangements would make ideal supplementary teaching material. This does not mean that they are not suitable for other uses or situations. I record every arrangement and upload it to my YouTube channel. There, you can listen to each arrangement being played.
This is an example of how I usually format the arrangements on YouTube.
